Description

Beautiful bush camping with a stunning spring fed creek, dramatic granite outcrops and platypus living in the deeper holes. Fossicking equipment and instruction available (zircons and sapphires). There are hand-crafted toilets and a bucket shower powered by wood stove (also the creek is fresh!!) The 4 campsites are clean and well looked after and each has its own fireplace, plus a larger communal firepit, shelter and gas BBQ in the main area. The front paddock 'Wattle Grove' is perfect for larger groups. Has a fire pit, seating and a clean toilet. Fire Wood is supplied free of charge but a donation is greatly appreciated. How to get there: From Glen Innes Head EAST towards Grafton along the Gwydir Hwy after 29(ish) km from Glen Innes turn left on to YAHNA road , head down Yahna for 6km and you come to a sharp bend , turn RIGHT , you are now on MORVEN road , travel 5km and we are on the LEFT , directly after the 'No Shooting' sign. (1505 Morven Rd , Glen Elgin) Head down the driveway and you will see a track heading off to the RIGHT, go down there will bring you into camp area.
