Description

Camping by donation at Emu Crossing, 2.5 kilometres south of town next to the Gwydir River. An honesty box is located near the toilet block. Facilities include flushing toilets, the water is actually potable and is town treated water. It is because of the length of water line from town the council think there may be no chlorine left by the time it gets to the tap. Picnic tables, barbecues, rubbish bins and a small shelter. When the river is flowing, you may see platypus in the late afternoon. Dog's Are Allowed on leads!
