You are now required to make a booking for all campgrounds and campsites in NSW national parks. This includes locations that were previously available for use without a booking. This is necessary to protect our visitors and prevent the spread of COVID-19. Book online or contact the National Parks Contact Centre on 1300 072 757.
Dawsons Spring campground is in the Kaputar plateau precinct of Mount Kaputar National Park. Roads are unsealed and accessible to 2WD in dry weather. 4WD required in wet weather.
Dawsons Spring campground is a fully equipped accommodation area with a variety of barbecue options and several good walking tracks, including one to the summit lookout.
There are 17 unpowered, marked sites, suitable for tents, camper trailers and camping in or beside your vehicle.
Facilities include picnic tables, barbecue facilities, carpark, showers, and toilets.
Be careful when camping under trees. Do not stay in the park when high winds are forecast.
BYO firewood, firewood collection is prohibited in National Park.
Pets, caravans, RV/motorhomes, generators and smoking are not permitted.
