Figtree Farm at Findon Creek
CampgroundDescription
Figtree Farm at Findon Creek is a 600 acre property. It is a tranquil, secluded location bounded by Long Creek to the south and Findon Creek to the west. The northern part of the property backs onto the Border Ranges National Park.
On Gullibal land, we have view of Jalgumbin (Mt Lindesay) to the west and Lever's Plateau (a designated wilderness area of unlogged subtropical rainforest) to the north.
This family owned farm was once a dairy farm and then a beef property, we now have mixed plantings of native trees and cabinet timbers, a plant nursery specialising in native trees and a joinery workshop making designer furniture.
There is an abundance of bird and animal life on the farm and we have not wandering stock to disturb the peace, though you may hear our neighbours' donkeys braying from time to time!
Although we have had people camping on our property for over 20 years we have only recently joined Hipcamp. To start off we have chosen one large site suitable for larger groups. Named Jaya's Camp it is a river flat adjacent to a couple of swimming holes. We intend to offer other sites for camping down the track (watch this space).
Apart from the creek we have many kilometers of bush track for you to wander. We also have a farm dam stocked with silver perch and you are welcome to try your luck.
