The Ruin features a 1 acre block of land with a private dwelling that is a converted stone barn, situated in the Hunter Valley.
The perfect powered campsite is available in the house paddock, but far enough away from the home not to bother campers. You camp facing East, affording you added privacy and availability to stunning 360o views from sunrise to sunset! The tranquility is breathtaking! A firepit is available. BYO timber.
There are 3 x sites available, but that is only if you are camping with friends or family you wish to join you, otherwise you are the only campers! Exclusivity at its finest.
Dungog is a short drive away and a bit further on is the adorable township of Morpeth. Barrington Tops is very popular, as is a trip into Stroud or even Singleton or East Maitland.
If you are after a quiet getaway with sensational 360o views, this is the destination for you. The rolling hills of the surrounding area dotted with cattle, offers you a serenity people only dream about.
Kangaroos frequently pass by the house paddock. Mountain biking and hiking is welcomed on the property with even more spectacular views.
Sunrises and sunsets are totally amazing and will add something very special to your stay.
If you wish to bring your pet, please contact us for consideration. This would be determined due to stock in paddocks, kangaroos etc.
Just sit back and enjoy the serenity of the views and catch your breath, or take a day trip to visit some of the local attractions. Whatever takes your fancy, we just know you will be delighted
