A beautiful campsite on the banks of the Goobarragandra River on the famous Hume and Hovell Walking Track. Just a short drive from the Snowy Mountains Highway and Tumut. The gate is locked and BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL. If the booking is less than 2 days out please book online at https://thomasboydtrackhead.com or if looking to stay within the next 48hrs phone 0458 689 756. Facilities include well-grassed riverside camping sites, outdoor picnic tables, fireplaces, and weather shed with tables and two pushbutton electric barbeques. The amenities block has flush toilets, hand basins and wash-up sinks. Hot water is on tap. There are NO showers. Please be aware that the site is well used over the holidays and long weekends. Please observe fire restrictions. Camp fires are only permitted in designated fireplaces and subject to fire restrictions. Bring your own wood and DO NOT cut down shrubs or trees. The trackhead is situated on land owned by the Land and Property Management Authority, and is managed by the Goobarragandra Valley Reserves Trust. Pets permitted.
