Yarrangobilly Village Campground

You are now required to make a booking for all campgrounds and campsites in NSW national parks. This includes locations that were previously available for use without a booking. This is necessary to protect our visitors and prevent the spread of COVID-19. Book online or contact the National Parks Contact Centre on 1300 072 757.
This location is a free campground, however a booking fee of $6 per site applies. Money collected will be used to manage campground numbers and improve your safety.
Yarrangobilly Village campground offers riverside camping for caravan or trailers with great fishing, walking and historic heritage in Kosciuszko National Park. Camping is free Bookings are not required at this campground. Campsites are available on a first-in first-served basis.
Sites are unmarked and unpowered, and are suitable for tents, camper trailers, caravans and camping beside your vehicle. Facilities include picnic tables, wood barbecue facilities, carpark and non-flush toilets. Bring your own firewood. We encourage you to bring gas or fuel stoves, especially in summer during fire season. River water is available at this campground - you'll need to treat or boil it before drinking. The nearest food and fuel facilities are available 20km to the west in Talbingo.
Set among grassy woodlands, just off the highway, it has easy parking for caravans and trailers. The campground is just off Snowy Mountains Highway, 7.5km north of the Yarrangobilly Caves entrance road.
Set on the banks of meandering Yarrangabilly River, try your hand at fishing or enjoy a leisurely picnic. You might spot a few eastern grey kangaroos grazing or relaxing in the shade.
There's limited mobile reception in this area of the park.
Weather in this area can be extreme and unpredictable, so please ensure you're well-prepared for your visit.
Yarrangobilly Caves entrance and exit roads are graded gravel. They're suitable for 2WD and 4WD vehicles up to 12.5m in lengt
