Description

Battery Rock Rest Area is located on the Golden Highway 15.3km from Merriwa and is accessible to vehicles travelling in both directions. The area features polygonal basalt columns formed by cooling lava. Rest areas are a place where you can stop and rest, making your journey safer and more enjoyable. You can stop at a rest area to rest ad manage fatigue however they are not intended as camping sites and stays longer than 24 hours are not permitted. Facilities include: Toilets, picnic tables and rubbish bins.
