Day Use AreaDescription
The Rockpool swimming enclosure is used by many locals and tourists alike. Located at the start of the 'breakwall' with access to Tuncurry Beach, the area can be enjoyed for a suite of recreational activities including, walking along the Beach or Breakwall, enjoying a BBQ in the park adjacent to the playground or simply sitting and enjoying the view of the dolphins frolicking in the channel. Whatever your leisure, this facility has it all.
Surrounded by picnic shelters, grass and a beach area this is the ideal spot for the family. The Rockpool Reserve also has a kiosk where you can enjoy an ice cream and cold drink.
The playground consists of a Senior Unit that has several linking pieces for active play catering for children of all ages.
Please note - The Rockpool is unsupervised with no lifeguard. It also contains marine life and large breakwall rocks. The swimming enclosure is open to a channel with the swimming area defined by the installation of a net across the back. The net is there to define the swimming zone. Children should be supervised and caution should be taken at all times when swimming in the enclosure as strong currents can exist.
