The Grenfell Art Gallery is home of the Grenfell Community Curtain.
The curtain began its journey in the early 1990's when Sylvia Brind, Grenfell resident and Dramatics Society stalwart, was inspired by a similar project she had seen in the Riverina town of Griffith, so began the idea of creating a 'community curtain' as a celebration of the shires rich history. The concept for the curtain was 'a visual representation of the essence of the Grenfell community'. She had envisaged an opportunity for the commute tell the story of the development of Grenfell and the surrounding shire in a stunning display.
