Description

This reserve is located on the route of the Silverton Railway which closed in 1970. The wooden headframe was relocated from the Kintore Shaft at the Central Mine in 1984 to make way for open cut mining activities. The shaft was named after the Earle of Kintore, the first Chairman of the Central Mine. This is a free point of interest. No camping or overnight parking allowed.
