The museum is located in the former Courthouse building. The museum has a range of permanent exhibitions hat tell the story of Morpeth from its origins. Morpeth was a major river port of the Hunter Valley and surrounding districts between 1832 and 1920.
The fascinating history of the area is exhibited in the museum. Do you remember OAK milkshakes and Arnott's biscuits? You can learn how they started in Morpeth along with other industries.
The museum is open Thursday to Sunday 11am to 2pm or by appointment.
