Offering an overview of the surrounding region with unimpeded 360-degree views, Mount Kaputar Summit lookout is an easily-accessible stop with picnic tables.
Access to the lookout is a 1km track via a wooden staircase, with a steep but short ascent. A picnic table near the carpark also makes this an ideal spot for a leisurely lunch. If you're after a hike, follow Mount Kaputar summit walk back towards Dawsons Spring.
Follow Kaputar Road from the park entrance for 20km of steep, single-lane road until you reach the T-junction, where you turn left and follow the one-way loop. The base of the summit lookout is 900m
No long vehicle access.
4WD required in wet weather.
The weather in this area can be extreme and unpredictable, so please ensure you're well-prepared for your visit.
No camping or overnight parking allowed.
