Murunna means clear waters and the huge mouth of Wallaga Lake, one of the biggest coastal lakes in New South Wales, makes for fun estuary swimming.
The beach is a short walk away via Murunna Point, and is great for surfing and fishing. The area is also a popular breeding spot for shore birds, including protected species such as Hooded Plovers and Pied Oyster Catchers.
A photographers haven, Murunna Point has spectacular elevated views of Gulaga, Wallaga and theres also a short 1.5km return walk to Camel Rock Beach via Horse Head Rock.
No camping or overnight parking.
