Walgett Bore Baths
Point of InterestDescription
The water in Walgett Bore Baths, comes from the Great Artesian Basin and is approximately two million years old. Natural pressure sends the water to the surface through an artesian bore, and it maintains a constant temperature of 38-40 degrees Celsius. The warm artesian waters are rich in potassium salts, which are reputedly therapeutic for tired and aching muscles.
Open April - October. Dog not allowed in the baths or on the reserve. Dogs can be contained in vehicle or restrained but not allowed in or near pool.
