Situated in the historic hamlet of Rawdon Vale, The Woll is spectacularly positioned with breathtaking views over the countryside from the wending path of the Kerripit River to the distant blue hills.An easy 3.5 hours north of Sydney and half an hour from the township of Gloucester,this four bedroom cottage is an ideal retreat.This unspoiled locale is home to established beef cattle properties in the foothills of the Gloucester and Barrington Tops National Parks. Despite the sense of splendid isolation you are a mere 10 minutes from Camp Cobark horse riding and the opportunity for diverse activities such as canoeing,extensive river or high country hiking,exploring quaint local shops,markets or galleries and having good coffee and fine local fare in and around Gloucester and it's character filled satellite villages. The house itself features polished wooden floorboards and an open feel with French doors opening to shady verandahs and sunny decks for easy indoor/outdoor entertaining.There is reverse cycle air conditioning in the kitchen and a wood burning heater in the sitting room.All the beds are comfortable and new. Accomodation is in 1/ queen sized bedroom 2/ queen sized bedroom 3/ pair of king singles which can be adapted to accommodate a couple 4/small bedroom with one double bunk. The kitchen is atmospheric and filled with country charm and warmth yet is modern and thoughtfully equipped with full sized fridge/freezer,dishwasher and ample storage.There is one bathroom and a separate WC. Rawdon Vale is a picturesque place for a picnic or ramble and you can take a dip in the clean mountain waters of the Kerripit running beneath the house.A little further afield are places like the Barrington Tops with its World Heritage listed Prehistoric Beech Forest and the chance of spotting a wild brumby. NBN wireless internet was connected at The Woll on Kerripit in December,2017 and there is a complimentary telephone, just so you can keep tabs on your life enough to allow you to totally relax on your break. Linen and towels are supplied for house use only.We recommend you bring old towels for river bathing as the white ones supplied are strictly not suitable to be taken on bush adventures.
