Coxy's Bush Camp is a lightly cleared flat area, nestled amongst native stringy barks, turkey bush and cycads.
There is plenty of shade and lots of space, an ideal location to enjoy outdoor living and the NT's great climate. Solar panel charging can still be achieved throughout the day.
The site is central in the property and has good vehicle access.
Coxy's Bush Camp is suited to self contained vehicles only (own water, bathroom/toilet).
Wagait Beach is a relaxed beachside town on the western side of Darwin Harbour, a 1.5hr drive from Darwin via Cox Peninsula Road.
Wagait Beach offers fantastic fishing from beaches, creeks and Mandorah Jetty. A boat ramp is located near the jetty for access to fishing in the Harbour. Good crabbing in creeks and mangroves.
There's lots to explore. Miles of picturesque unspoilt beaches, bush tracks, bird life, magnetic termite mounds, WWII history, awesome sunsets.
Small supermarket with fuel and gas.
Cox Country Club is a vibrant open-air pub-style venue. It's open from Thursday to Sunday serving meals and refreshments, live music on weekends, courtesy bus, bingo fortnightly and more.
Litchfield National Park, Dundee Beach, Crab Claw and Territory Wildlife Park are all easy day trips from Wagait Beach.
Sealink Ferry (passenger ferry only) links Darwin to Wagait Beach from Cullen Bay to Mandorah and return. 15 minutes travelling time across beautiful Darwin Harbour. A connecting bus takes passengers up to the City and return.
If you love a laidback relaxed place to stay with great fishing, friendly locals and casual charm, Wagait Beach is the place for you
