The retreat is surrounded by the Mount Nancar conservation area offering bush walking, birdwatching and wildlife photography opportunities. The river has banks that are easily accessible for fishing for Barramundi. The conservation area consists of wetlands, savannah Forrest, escarpment and riparian environments. The camp sites are large and shaded with fire pits. Fire wood is collectable on the property. The retreat has a no pets and an adults (18+) only policy.
