Jim Jim Falls
Point of InterestDescription
This part of the park is home to the iconic Jim Jim Falls and Twin Falls. These spectacular waterfalls are best seen by air during the tropical summer, when heavy rains send huge volumes of water crashing into the gorge below. During the dry season, you can hike over boulders to the base of the falls. 4WD is required and trailers are not permitted.
Immerse yourself in rugged natural surroundings as you navigate challenging walking tracks to the Arnhem Land plateau.
Jim Jim Falls features a 2 km return walk through monsoon forest and over boulders to a deep plunge pool or family-friendly beach pool. The waterfall flows from the start of the tropical summer until mid-July. Swim at your own risk in the Jim Jim plunge pool only.
No camping or overnight parking allowed.
