Litchfield National Park is one of Northern Territory's most famous destinations, located just 100km southwest of central Darwin. On this 12-hour tour, you will be led a professional guide through the park, getting to see many amazing sites along the way.
The day will begin with an early-morning pickup from your Darwin accommodation. Then, you will begin your drive down the Stuart Highway towards Litchfield National Park. Your journey will take approximately 1.5 hours, but you will be provided regular stops, snacks and iced water along the way.
Once at the park, you will take a bush walk to Wangi Falls, a renowned landmark located on the Wangi Creek. As you walk, your guide will tell you all the secrets and history of the area. Once you arrive at the falls, you will have the chance to swim in the pristine water of the adjacent rock pool (weather permitting). Or, if you prefer, relax on the scattered rocks and soak up the surrounding scenery.
At midday, you will take a break for a freshly prepared picnic lunch, then resume your journey to Florence Falls. This picturesque series of segmented waterfalls flow into an adjacent plunge pool, which you will have the chance to swim in if you wish (weather permitting).
Next stop on the tour will be the series of cascading falls at Buley Rockhole, where you will also get a chance to swim and relax.
Your last stop at Litchfield National Park will be a quick visit to the magnificent Cathedral and Magnetic Termite Mounds. Here, your guide will teach you all about termites' importance to the local tropical ecosystem.
At approximately 3pm, your guide will take you from the park to the Adelaide River for a private Croc Spotting Cruise. Make sure you have your camera ready as native crocodiles jump out of the very river you're sailing through. Don't worry
