FARMSTAY@LAKE KURWONGBAH 15min walk to TRAIN - Forgedale Brisbane Farmstay - Closest northside camp to Brisbane - 17 acre open bushland farm backing onto the Lake Kurwongbah. 3 night min. 7th night free. Long stays considered. Arrive M-F 11am - 4pm only, preferably. Close to everything. Few sites that are extra large, so you have privacy and space. Restrained, accompanied pets considered. Security keypad gate access. Tent, camp trailer, van, caravan, motorhome, level paddock sites on firm ridge land, including a couple of drive throughs. $25 unlevelled sites, $30 level sites, $35 level powered sites per night. $5 per head for use of our toilet and external shower. $45 Site by the rustic hut on farm dam where camp kitchen and open fires are an option. Also, antique furnished penthouse suite above the Forgedale Homestead, at $600 for 3 or 4 nights if you'd like a comfort break. Recently constructed road base entry up to the gateway into the firm ridge part of paddock. Our paddock tracks are slashed and the tracks to the furthest sites are not ideal for wet weather. We have a wide variety of birdlife, possums, wallabies, kangaroos and occasional koalas, and feral deer. Check website for our many free and paid activities on site, including, Tai Chi, Health retreat, Steam Road Loco outting, Engines and Australiana Museum, Beginner Blacksmithing, Antique Restoration, etc. Our water is filtered rainwater only, so go easy on it. Closest dump point is 7kms away, at Wylie Park Rest Area, Gympie Rd, Petrie. Indemnity must be signed - No exceptions.
