Description

Wandilla Station is a working sheep and cattle property situated on the banks of the Paroo River in the spectacular red soil country of south west Queensland. The Paroo River is the last remaining free-flowing river in the northern Murray Darling Basin and a must-see Australian icon. There are opportunities for bird watching, photography, bush walking all year round. Wandilla Station offers bushcamping in the spectacular red soil mulga country 15km south of Eulo in south west Queensland. To get to the station travel Approx 15k South Of Eulo On Pitherty Rd. Look Out For The Spongebob Letterbox. Sites are unpowered and suitable for caravans, camper trailers, motorhmes and big rigs. Facilities include toilets, showers, water, picnic tables, bins and fire pits. Pets are permitted. Wandilla Station is home to the infamous Music in the Mulga Country Music Festival. Experience the warm country feel and authentic bush setting to a 'true blue' line-up of Australian country music singers and performers. The climate is semi-arid but the permanent waterholes along the Paroo River and Werai Creek - fenced off as a 20km long conservation zone - makes Wandilla a special place for viewing a diversity of birds, wildlife and wildflowers. Calling ahead is a good idea as this is a working station.
