Intrepid Daintree Eco-Lodge
Description
Nestled in the heart of the World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest, the Daintree Ecolodge combines nature, nurture and culture in a pure rainforest environment
Believed to be over 135 million years old, and the oldest tropical lowland rainforest on Earth, the Daintree Rainforest is a rare jewel in the crown of Mother Nature. Nestled amongst the foliage, the Daintree Ecolodge showcases 15 eco-friendly ‘bayans’ (treehouses) immersed in the breathtaking rainforest canopy.
Rise to the sound of the birds in the rainforest above, breathe-in the fresh tropical air and discover the lodge’s private onsite waterfall on a leisurely stroll through the enchanting rainforest.
Escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life and rejuvenate your mind, body and soul in a breathtaking landscape where time appears to have stood still. Use the lodge as a base to explore the Daintree region; the only place where two World Heritage sites meet (the Daintree and Great Barrier Reef)!
The Daintree Ecolodge is located 110 kilometres north of Cairns (90 minutes) and 45 kilometres north of Port Douglas (40 minutes) via sealed roads.
