The Sunbird Motel is a clean, comfortable and friendly motel. Our 10 rooms have off street parking and are set on 16.5 hectares of dry tropical bushland, on the side of a hill, overlooking the Nome Valley. We are just 17kms south of CBD Townsville and easy access to Townsville General Hospital, Smile Stadium (Cowboys home ground), Murray Sports Facilities, Townsville Crematorium, SunMetals and solar farm, the Giri community, and Elliott Springs Sub division. Neighbouring attractions are the award winning Billabong Wildlife Sanctuary, Bowling Green National Park/Alligator Creek and Mount Elliot forest reserve. At the Sunbird Motel we also cater for local industry and contractors by providing discounted self contained motel style accommodation for weekly stays. We are pet friendly, however ALL bookings need to contact the Motel to ensure a pet friendly room is available. Conditions and charges apply. Due to our surroundings we have an abundance of wildlife and birdlife which are our priority.
