TWISTED GUM COTTAGE - Take a true holiday! Stroll through the vineyard - we have 3 hectares of hand-tended vineyard which is divided up into small blocks - see if you can identify the Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Black Muscat, Chardonnay, Semillon and Verdelho vines. Explore the rugged bushland that covers much of our 40 hectare property - admire the stunning granite rocks, delicate wildflowers and the impressive orange-barked twisted gum trees - and experience the amazing bird life. Talk a short stroll to the Twisted Gum Wines cellar door, in a beautiful 1920's Queenslander at the front of our property and taste some of our award winning wines. Tour some of the 40+ wineries which surround us here in the Granite Belt, Queensland's premier wine district. Enjoy a relaxing lunch in the Hidden Creek Cafe (2 minutes walk) or take a short drive to picturesque Ballandean Village where you can find quality pub meals at Ballandean Tavern or dine in style in Shiraz Restaurant or Vineyard Cottages Restaurant. Sip a glass of Granite Belt wine on the deck and enjoy the view over vineyards and bushland. Or just curl up with a good book in front of the toasty wood fire.
