42 Mile Crossing Camp

Campsites must be booked prior to arrival to the park.
Located in the Coorong National Park, 42 Mile Campground has large grassed area and is semi-sheltered by vegetation. A walking trail from the campground leads to the beach. Campsites are unallocated.
Sites are suitable for tents, camper trailers and caravans.
Facilities include toilets, non-potable water, picnic table and walking trail.
Caravans are not recommended along the 4WD track to the beach past this campsite.
National Parks are currently doing a trial to reintroduce campfires in the Coorong starting with 42 Mile Crossing. Fires are permitted outside fire ban season (Usually October to April) and days of total fire ban. Fires are only allowed in allocated fire pits at this site. Please don't have fires on the grass as it will result in no camp fires in the Coorong at all. You must bring your own firewood, as the collection of firewood within National Parks is prohibited.
Dogs are not permitted at this campground.
