The Munga-ThirriSimpson Desert Conservation Park is in the centre of the Simpson Desert, one of the world's best examples of parallel dunal desert. A Desert Parks Pass is required to enter and camp in Munga-ThirriSimpson Desert Conservation Park and Munga-ThirriSimpson Desert Regional Reserve.
You can camp within 100 metres of the public access tracks in the Munga-Thirri Simpson Desert Regional Reserve and Conservation Park, but there are no facilities.
Munga-ThirriSimpson Desert Conservation Park and Regional Reserve are closed from 1 December to 15 March each year.
Vehicles are required to have high visibility safety flags attached to the front of the vehicle.
Dogs are not permitted in this park.
