Description

Mount Little Station provides a great base to explore the region and has become a holiday destination in itself. Sites are spacious and perfect for small and large groups and are accessible to all vehicles. Activities on property include: 2WD /4WD self drive tracks Hiking trails Mayo Gorge a permanent waterhole Kids maze Animal feeding - $5 per child Bike hire History / ruins Birdwatching Photography Pizza bar and Tavern (opening times vary) please enquire when booking or checking in. Various accommodation options are available. The road is unsealed and can be reached in a two-wheel-drive vehicle in dry weather. A 4WD gives you greater accessiblity especially in wet weather and when out exploring self drive tracks on the property. Access Mount Little Road from the Outback Highway. The track in is accessible for all vehicles towing on-road trailers, caravans, cyclists or for motor homes. Sites are unpowered. There is an amenities block with hot showers and toilets. A camp kitchen with gas cookers, BBQ, seating, protection from the elements, cutlery and crockery. There is a small rainwater tank for drinking, water is not available on site. Closest water point and dump point is in Hawker. There are other flushing toilets scattered amongst bushcamp sites. Mobile phone coverage is limited in camping area due to the mountains. There is no phone reception at check in. CHECK IN IS AFTER 2PM AND CHECK OUT IS 10AM unless arranged earlier. BOOKINGS ARE REQUIRED. Cash is preferred and no credit card facilities available IF OFFICE UNATTENDED Telstra signal can be accessed when exploring the property. UHF radio - channel 19. Open fires are allowed, each site has a firepit area (except when fire bans apply). Firewood can be purchased for $20 per bag. NO WOOD IS TO BE COLLECTED FROM PROPERTY. NO CHAINSAWS ALLOWED.
