Description

Camping is permitted at Point Lowly for a maximum of 14 days. Camping is permitted in the designated areas only. Permits are required and can be purchased from: - Point Lowly, by using the honour system and the payment box is located near the amenities block (Envelopes for cash also have section to fill in to pay by credit card) - The Whyalla Visitor Centre, Lincoln Highway (Cash & EFTPOS) - The Whyalla City Council, Darling Terrace (Cash & EFTPOS) Place your permit on the passenger side of your vehicles' dashboard so that it is clearly visible. Council Officers will be patrolling the area & failure to purchase a permit may incur a fine Sites are unpowered and suitable for tents, camper traileres, caravans and motorhomes. Toilets and Cold Showers are located in the amenities block on the entrance to the camping area. A dump point is also located adjacent the main entrance. Please drive slowly as there is a resident mob of kangaroos living between the permanent beach houses, campsites and lighthouse.
