MUST PREBOOK THROUGH HIPCAMP 65 acres situated just a few minutes' drive north from Kapunda, the oldest mining town in Australia which is on the edge of the beautiful Barossa. Accessible by a quiet country road with no neighbours close by. Property was once part of the famous Anlaby Station settled 1839. The camping grounds area is approx. 5 acres offering 5 spaces amongst beautiful gums and alongside a natural wet weather creek which is exciting to watch flow after the rains or fun to explore during the dry. The dam is only wet weather and also offers that natural country element. An added unique aspect we have is a historic marble quarry. The marble from here was used to build The Houses of Parliament in Adelaide. We are lucky to have our 'local' a pub 'The Wheatsheaf' that serves a great pub meal and has that country pub charm, this will take all of 2 mins to drive to. All campers need to be self-contained, as we don't offer toilets. Campfires are permitted when conditions are ok, and when fire bans are not in place.
