Description

Located approximately 3km northwest of Beachport via the Lake George Road in the Beachport Conservation Park, 3 Mile Bend Campground has 7 unpowered campsites. Campsites need to be booked prior to arrival. The seven sites fringe the lake edge and all are accessible with a 2WD vehicle. Sites vary in size, with most being suitable for small to medium sized caravans. Each site is nestled under paper bark tea- trees, offering good shade and wind protection. The lake is salty and not suitable for swimming, but is home to many types of water birds. The back beach is approximately 1.5km to the west, along a 2WD and 4WD track. Dogs are not permitted in this park. Important: Collection of firewood within National Parks is prohibited. Dead wood plays a vital role in providing shelter for animals and adding nutrients to the soil.
