Yackamoorundie Park
CampgroundDescription
The best-used of many tourist sites in the town is the Yackamoorundie Park, on the banks of the Broughton, designed and developed by the Yacka Progress Group in the 1980s. The park provides a welcoming and much-appreciated environment for passers-by, picnickers and campers. It has free electric barbecue facilities, woodfire barbecue facilities (not available for use in fire danger season), playground equipment, clean toilets and - Yacka's newest attraction - five mosaic picnic tables designed and made by local residents as a community arts project.
8 powered sites are available and are suitable for tents, camper trailers, caravans, motorhomes and big rigs. Facilities include toilets, showers, bins and a dump point.
Payment to be made to one of the park volunteers whose phone numbers are listed on the gate sign.
