Garnet Kelly Reserve

This is a free day use area, the reserve is named after Garnet Francis Kelly who grew up on a farm near Yankalilla called Anacotilla. He was known for his agricultural initiatives and as a pioneer of irrigation systems. Garnet Kelly enlisted as a sapper in the 10th Field Company Australian Engineers in March 1916 and was was killed in action in France on 8 January 1917. The reserve features interpretative signs and a memorial plaque.
It makes a lovely spot for a picnic. You can often see hang gliders surfing the thermals off the cliffs above.
No camping or overnight parking allowed.
