Description

Scrubland Conservation Park. Considered endangered throughout its range from southern Eyre Peninsula to south eastern Victoria, the metallic sun-orchid has been recorded in the Mount Boothby Conservation Park. Recreational opportunities in the park include bush walking, bird watching and scenic views from the Mount Boothby summit. The only internal track open to the public is the Summit Track. The track begins at the gate in the south eastern corner of the park and meanders to the summit. Four wheel drive vehicle access is available to the summit from the southern boundary fire access track. This is the only section of a boundary fire access track open to the public. Limited facilities are provided in the park. Take all rubbish with you and leave no trace. Camping is available at Boothby Rocks.
