Poochera Rest Area
Day Use AreaDescription
This is a roadside rest area off of the Eyre Highway near Poochera.
Whilst overnight stays in rest areas are a genuinely acceptable method for fatigue management, stays longer than 24 hours are not permitted.
Facilities include: Picnic tables and rubbish bins.
Road users undertaking overnight stays in rest areas must accept that a minimal level of facility is provided for comfortable short breaks to manage fatigue. Road users seeking improved facilities for longer stays are encouraged to plan their journey to take advantage of available opportunities in towns and commercial facilities.
Furthermore, overnight campers in rest areas must also accept that they are likely to experience disruption through other road users, particularly heavy vehicle drivers, continuing to utilise the rest area facilities, for genuine fatigue management reasons, at any hour of the day or night.
