Crap Art And Toilets
Point of InterestDescription
CRAP ART - COWELL ART GROUP
At the 2009 Art Exhibition the Cowell Art Group Members decided to make the Public Toilets more colourful and inviting. We decided to put Art in the Toilets for the duration of the six weeks of our Exhibition.
It was such a success with the tourists and locals alike that we have left our Art in the toilets permanently. It is now an attraction on the 'Grey Nomad Trail.'
It was named as a joke by one of our members when asked by a tourist about purchasing one of the paintings from the toilets.
People say aren't you worried about them getting stolen but we all believe that we must have faith in people. We also believe that the pleasure that it gives outweighs the
occasional times when people 'forget' to pay!
If you would like to purchase one of these paintings then you can take money in to the Council or give money to the Craft shop located in the Institute.
