Habel's Landing
Point of InterestDescription
This sharp right-angled bend in the river is named after local pioneering farmer Emil Wilhelm Habel who settled just a few hundred metres downstream in the 1890s with his family.
The bend is a popular fishing spot and visitors may spot a pair of the region's River Red Chairs at the base of the Heaven cliff walking trail.
The nearby Habel's Landing visible directly downstream on the left is a popular houseboat mooring spot. Historical Habel's Homestead now a private home stands proudly overlooking the landing.
