Jonah Bay Arthurs Lake
CampgroundDescription
Arthurs Lake is Tasmania's most popular fishery destination, with more anglers than any other site. The lake is known for a great catch of wild brown trout (brown trout are the only species here) and large fish are frequently caught.
Jonah Bay boat ramp is a concrete ramp located near the camp ground, and a great spot for launching for a day on the water fishing or paddling.
The nearby campground is managed by Bothwell Tourism Association and is open during angling season. Sites are unpowered and suitable for tents, camper trailers and caravans. Toilet facilites are available. Dogs are permitted.
***Hydro Tasmania is excited to announce that Brett Woodard and Ellen Lowe, of the Arthurs Lake Roadhouse, have been successfully appointed as the new managers of the Jonah Bay and Pumphouse Bay Campsites.
Brett and Ellen are contributing community members within the Central Highlands Region, have a wealth of business experience, and are looking forward to welcoming visitors from Saturday 5 August 2023.
For more information about the sites, management and operational arrangements, or to book a site, please contact Brett or Ellen via the site details on this page.
