CampgroundDescription
Mid-way between Waratah and Savage River on road B23, approx 16.5km from each town, is an unofficial camping area at an old mining town that is near the Whyte River. There are several old sealed roads that lead off the main road to suitable camping sites on the western side of the bridge for self contained vehicles. No facilities are provided in this valley surrounded by lush bush land and the road to Savage River has very little use. The river is sparkling.
