Aire River East Campground
CampgroundDescription
This small campground is located in a shady spot on the Aire River and is a great place for kayaking. The best place to launch your kayak is near the bridge. The camping area is located off the Great Ocean Road, across the Aire River from the Aire River West campground.
Advanced bookings and payment are required year round.
There are 20 grassy flat campsites available with views up the Aire Valley towards the ocean. Each campsite accommodates a maximum of 6 people. All campsites are unpowered. Sites 1-4 are suitable for small tents only; sites 10-20 are suitable for large caravans. All other sites are suitable for tents, camper-trailers or campervans.
NOTE: there is no diagram on either the Parks website or in the camp to show where each site is located; take note of detail in website picture.
Non-flush toilets, a picnic shelter, shared picnic tables and a boat landing are available. No fireplace is provided and fires are not allowed. Use fuel stoves or your own gas barbeque for cooking. Some water is available but is not suitable for drinking - supply your own. There is no rubbish collection at this campground. Please take all rubbish with you.
