Centenary Park - Mount Arapiles-Tooan State Park
CampgroundDescription
Centenary Park is a great spot to enjoy a picnic. Centenary campground is the only place to camp in the park. There are three camping areas within the campground.
This campground is suitable for tents only. All campsites are unpowered sites. Advance bookings and payment are required year round.
A combination of non-flush and flush toilets are available. Shared picnic tables are provided. Untreated tank water may be available. Car parking is provided. Barbeques, information and a pay phone are also provided.
Untreated tank water may be available but it is best to supply your own drinking water. No showers are provided. There is no rubbish collection at this campground. Please take all rubbish with you.
Two short walking tracks link Centenary Park to the summit of Mount Arapiles and the sealed Lookout Road gives easy access to a short walk that leads to the summit. There is also a short but interesting nature walk from Lookout Road.
Remember: Red Gums are particularly prone to dropping large branches at any time without warning. The safest place for all visitors to enjoy a rest, pitch their tent, park their car or have a picnic is in a clear area away from large trees.
No pets.
