Description

Bush camping on the Wimmera River, near Lake Hindmarsh. There are no fees to camp here and no facilities. (There are toilets at the disused ski club and are in good condition but will need bucket of river water to flush.) Campers must be self sufficient. Take all rubbish with you and leave no trace. Minimise your impact on the environment. Show care and respect for this place. Follow these guidelines and you can ensure it survives into the future. Camp at least 20 metres from water bodies. Camp in natural clearings and avoid camping under large trees their limbs may fall without warning. Use a chemical toilet or bury human waste at least 100 metres from water bodies.
