Description

You are now required to make a booking for all campgrounds and campsites in NSW national parks. This includes locations that were previously available for use without a booking. This is necessary to protect our visitors and prevent the spread of COVID-19. Book online or contact the National Parks Contact Centre on 1300 072 757. This location is a free campground, however a booking fee of $6 per site applies. Money collected will be used to manage campground numbers and improve your safety. Bush camping in the Murray-Sunset National Park, located on a sandy beach next to the Murray River. Shady spot. Unsealed, corrugated road on the way to lock 7. Camping is free and on a first in, first-served basis. There are no facilities. Campers need to be self-sufficient. Chemical toilets are preferred. Pit toilets must be at least 100m from the waters edge. Bury toilet paper and waste appropriately. Bins are not provided. Please take your rubbish with you. Light fires only in the fireplaces provided. Bring your own firewood or use a fuel stove instead. No fires are permitted on a day of Total Fire Ban. Chainsaws and generators are not permitted. Dogs and other pets are not permitted in Murray Sunset National Park, including the Murray River Frontage from Lock 9 to the South Australian border.
