Description

This rest area lies northbound on the Calder Highway (A79) in Ravenswood. A person, other than a person authorised in writing by VicRoads, or in accordance with a sign erected by or on behalf of VicRoads, must not camp on the road reserve or an ancillary area of (a) a freeway; or (b) an arterial road; or (c) a non-arterial State road for which VicRoads is the coordinating road authority. This regulation does not prohibit a person from resting or sleeping in a parked vehicle or movable dwelling in order to manage or avoid driver fatigue. Facilities include: Toilets, picnic tables, rubbish bins and water. Free hot showers are available in the service station. This is a combined truck and car rest area. Please do not park in the truck parking area and ensure there is plenty of room for trucks to enter and exit the site and to park and take their mandatory rest.
