Located in the heart of the Mallee, 35kms southwest of Swan Hill, this little town with the big heart welcomes you to call in, stay a while and make friends at the Ultima Hotel. The Pub has a few acres out the back, and they're more than happy to host travellers passing through. Recently changing hands and now undergoing a substantial refurbishment, the kitchen is currently closed whilst renovations are going on but during the weekend the community comes together and they have a bbq and smoker snacks on. The bar is open, the beer is cold and the hospitality warmwhat more could you ask for! The locals are incredibly proud of their town and their pub and would love to welcome new friends. Bathroom facilities are available for any campers who might like a proper shower and freshen up (I would suggest a tip for the hospitality). Pubs like this are the heartbeat of small towns that rely on them to provide a community space, a place where everyone can come and feel welcome and heard and, more often than not, is the only 'therapy' available for the people of the surrounding district.
