Enjoy your experience! ----- This tour to Phillip Island is a highlight trip of Victoria's best native wildlife. Departing late morning, with convenient pick-ups from Melbourne hotels, the tour heads straight for Phillip Island. The first stop is for refreshments (not included) and a bathroom break in the fishing village of San Remo just before the bridge to Phillip Island. Then crossing over to Phillip Island, you'll visit Phillip Island Wildlife Park. You will have the opportunity to see the kangaroos and view many other Australian native animals, including koalas. If the Phillip Island Wildlife Park is unavailable, the tour will make an alternate stop at Maru Koala and Animal Park on the mainland instead. Next, it's time to head to the coast, stopping in Cowes, the local village on the island. Here you will be able to explore some of the local shops, purchase some refreshments (own cost) and enjoy a stroll on the local beach. Stretch your legs more at the next stop, The Nobbies. Take a stroll along the boardwalk to enjoy the incredible views of this rugged rocky outcrop, seal rock and the ocean. Finally, you'll head to the Penguin Parade to watch the penguins returning to their nests after a day at sea. This is the largest colony of Little Penguins in the world, and you get to watch as they waddle home, retreating to their burrows for well-earned rest. Afterwards, you'll return to Melbourne with a head full of happy memories.
