About Us The Britannia was constructed in 1897, located close to the city it was one of many hotels that sprang up to cater for the gold rush adventurers that made their way to Perth. It is one of the oldest hotels still in active use in Western Australia. The Hostel has undergone massive renovations in 2018. Now we stand as one of the nicest and cleanest backpackers in Australia! We strive to make Britannia on William the best affordable backpackers hostel in Perth. Our commitment to our guests starts with ensuring our facilities are clean and up to date in order to make your stay comfortable and memorable. With prices starting at only $20 per night, we have rooms for travellers on a budget, offering single, twin, double, triple and shared rooms with options between female-only and mixed dorms. We have spacious, fully stocked kitchen with a massive dinning hall. Available for use is our BBQ in our beautiful lamp lit courtyard, the place where many of our parties take place! Put your feet up and relax in our communal areas like our movie room which has a full view of Perth CBD, fully stocked with DVDs.
