New Norcia Hostel (For groups of minimum of 15 people) Built in 1927 and nestled beneath gum trees on a rise overlooking the township, the Latin word Salve Welcome on the threshold expresses one of the primary Benedictine values hospitality. Originally built as a Hostel for parents visiting boarders at the New Norcia colleges, this grand neo-classical style building boasts 15 comfortable rooms (with shared, separate male/female facilities) and sweeping verandas and balconies. The New Norcia Hostel is only open to group bookings, with a minimum of 15 people. Our catering department provides good quality meals for residential groups, tour groups or private functions. The Hostel now hosts special dinners such as 'The Abbot's Table', high teas, and musical soirées, which include cocktails and gourmet food.
