Description

The homestead complex is very interesting and provides an ideal place to camp. There are three main buildings that are open for inspection: the main homestead, the shed and the shearers' cottage. The Sandalwood Cottage may be occupied by the camp host. There are a numerous camping sites that are ideal for caravans and camper units. Camping and accommodation fees apply and bookings can be made through the DPaW Kalgoorlie office or to the camphosts on-site. There are some lovely bushwalk trails around the homestead area, the main one which starts near the Homestead is clearly marked and has some interpretive signs along the way. There are opportunities for bird watching. Mountain biking is a great way to explore the tracks in the area. You can get to this site by two-wheel drive but be aware of variable road conditions. Pets are not permitted. 1080 baits used to control feral animals may kill pets if consumed.
