Danggu Geikie Gorge views are of spectacular multicoloured 30 metre deep cliffs carved by the floodwaters of the Fitzroy River through the Devonian fossil reef.
Cultural guided boat tours begin in May and end at the end of October (weather permitting).
There are a number of walk trails to enjoy while exploring Geikie Gorge.
Reef (Jarrambayah) Walk
Distance: 4.4 km return. Time: Allow 2hrs.
River (Bunguu) Walk
An easy 30-minute return walk along the banks of the Fitzroy River to the Sandbar. This area is popular fishing and swimming place. Swimming is at your own risk.
Rarrgi (Rock) Walk
An easy 600m return walk that meanders through some of the limestone rock formations, allow 30 minutes.
Dogs are not permitted.
No camping or overnight parking allowed.
